A food handling device comprises a closable container and a stand 12 mountable on a support surface. The stand supports the container such that the container is free to rotate about an axis while mounted on the stand. The container may be in the form of a hemispherical bowl 14 that rotates about a pair of diametrically opposed pivot points 18, 20. A pair of pivotally mounted covers 24, 26 may be provided that in use serve to close the container and the pivot points for the covers and the bowl may be coaxial. In use the device is especially suited for mixing a solid foodstuff, such as salad items, with a liquid, such as a dressing. |
