<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal tube protector which is excellent in erosion resistance and corrosion resistance and excellent in adhesion of film to substrates and is also excellent in straightness because of low deflection properties. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises a step of forming a thermally sprayed film 11A around the external circumferential surface of a hemicylindrical protector substrate 10 by thermally spraying a self-fusing alloy thereon and a step of forming a self-fusing alloy layer 11B around the external circumferential surface of the protector substrate 10 by abutting the internal circumferential surface of the protector substrate 10 against the external circumferential surface of a cylindrical base 20 to fit the protector substrate 10 on the base 20 and subjecting the thermally sprayed film 11A to re-fusion treatment by high-frequency induction heating while applying a tractive force (X) to the base 20 with the protector substrate 10 fitted thereon in its axial direction and applying a tractive force (Y) thereto in the direction which is a radial direction of the base 20 but is a direction opposite to the side on which the protector substrate 10 is fitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
