<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize the capability of a user for performing an access operation of programmable controller (PLC), controlling equipment to be controlled coupled to a programming device by a common bus, through an input device and a display unit of the programming device. <P>SOLUTION: Password and operation restriction information setting means 61 and user authentication and operation function restricting means 62 are added to a system program of a programming device 10. The means 61 presets in the PLC passwords for authentication by users, and operation restriction information defining types of access operations by functions that each user is allowed to perform or inhibited from performing among a plurality of predetermined access operations by functions. When a user tries to perform an access operation on the PLC 19, the means 62 reads the setting information, requests the user to input a password, and refers to the operation restriction information on the user after authenticating the user, thereby restricting types of access operations by functions that the user tries to perform. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
