PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive compsn. consisting of a photoconductive material contg. a dye having absorption to visible - near IR light and imparting high sensitization power to the compd. by incorporating one kind of specific compd. into said compd. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of the compd. expressed by the formula is incorporated into the compsn. In the formula, R1, R2, R5, R6 denote a hydrogen atom, etc., R3, R4, R7, R8 denote a hydrogen atom, etc., or org. residue to form a ring contg. a hetero atom by R3 and R4 or R7 and R8, Y1, Y2 denote a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, carboxyl group, etc., n denotes 1, 2 or 3, A<-> denotes anion, (r) denotes 1 or 2. This sensitizing dye is usable at 0.0001-20.0pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. photoconductor and is more preferably used in the range of 0.001-10.0pts.wt. Sensitization up to a long wavelength range of particularly >=750nm is thereby permitted and the compsn. having the high sensitivity and improved stability is obtd. |
