The present invention relates to a secondary battery top cap assembly and a manufacturing method thereof. The secondary battery top cap assembly joined to an upper opening of a battery can wherein an electrode assembly is received includes a top cap positioned the top of the upper opening and a vent positioned in the lower side of the top cap and of which the edge becomes in contact with the top cap. The top cap and the vent are mutually bonded by an adhesive layer formed by an adhesive material coated on the contact surface. According to the present invention, the top cap and the vent adhere to each other even though an external impact or vibration is applied. In addition, a manufacturing process is simple, and manufacturing costs can be reduced.
