A method of manufacturing a wearing article capable of preventing loop elements engaged with hook elements from being curled up in a production step. Support members (13, 14) are attached to inner surface sheets (6) at the first side edges (11) of a front waist region (8), respectively. The hook elements (15, 16) are attached to a chassis (2) with the support members (13, 14) interposed therebetween, respectively. The loop elements (17, 18) are attached to the inner surface sheets (6) at the second side edges (12) of a rear waist region (9), respectively. Seal parts (32, 33) are so formed on the third regions (30, 31) of the support members (13, 14) as to correspond to the outer edges of the loop members (17, 18), respectively. The seal parts (32, 33) formed on the support members (13, 14) and the loop elements (17, 18) are temporarily affixed by engaging the hook elements (15, 16) with the loop elements (17, 18), respectively. |
