摘要 The present invention relates to a photovoltaic power generation device using season information which controls a maximum output point continuously such that output of photovoltaic power generation is maximized according to the season information and weather conditions in order to output maximum power, and a control method thereof. The photovoltaic power generation device comprises: a photovoltaic power generation panel on which a plurality of solar cells are arranged; a measuring means which receives meteorological information on an area where the photovoltaic power generation panel is installed, maintains season information for at least one year, and measures an amount of insolation; a storage means which stores control information of the photovoltaic power generation panel for at least one preceding year, and stores a plurality of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methods as algorithms for controlling the photovoltaic power generation panel; and a control means which successively applies the MPPT methods stored in the storage means according to a meteorological state of the same date of a preceding year or a meteorological state closest to that of the same date of the preceding year based on the season information, and controls an orientation of the photovoltaic power generation panel. The MPPT methods include a perturbation and observation (PO) control unit, an incremental conductance (IC) control unit and a constant voltage (CV) control unit. According to the present invention, maximum power of photovoltaic power generation can be outputted.
