A lock mechanism unit for stopping, in an emergency, a winding drum from rotating in the direction in which a webbing unwinds, comprises: a connection mechanism which, in an emergency, connects a clutch with a locking gear, integrally rotates the clutch and the locking gear in the direction in which the webbing unwinds, causes a pawl to engage with a ratchet gear, and also enables the connection between the clutch and the locking gear to be released by means of the locking gear rotating, relative to the clutch, in the direction in which the webbing winds-up; and a rotation difference imparting mechanism which, when the clutch and the locking gear, when in a connected state, are rotated in the direction in which the webbing winds-up, causes the rotation of the clutch in the direction in which the webbing winds-up to be delayed relative to the rotation of the locking gear in the direction in which the webbing winds-up. |
