<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a target by using signals over a wider range through simple processing. <P>SOLUTION: A radar system comprises a transmitter, a receiver, a corrector, a band interpolation processor and a signal processor. The transmitter transmits a first chirp pulse of a first frequency band and a second chirp pulse of a second frequency band different from the first frequency band to a target. The receiver receives a first reception signal and a second reception signal from the target. The corrector uses a correction value table to correct phases of the first and second reception signals and determines first and second correction spectrums. The band interpolation processor interpolates a signal of a band between the first frequency band and the second frequency band to a signal obtained by coupling the first and second correction spectrums and generates an interpolation signal representing a reflection wave from the target regarding chirp signals from the first frequency band to the second frequency band.
