The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for securing media. The method for securing media performed by the apparatus for securing media comprises the steps of: calling a receiving terminal when a message or a call request invite message is received from a calling terminal; transmitting a response message to the calling terminal when the receiving terminal answers the call; figuring out a media session key indicated on a header field and originating information indicated on a body field when a media session establishment request message is received; authenticating whether the media session establishment request message is transmitted by the calling terminal based on the media session key and the originating information; and establishing a media session and reporting an error according to authentication results. The method and the apparatus for securing media may improve security of a media session without a change in IMS messaging or the like in a network environment including an IMS domain. |
