PURPOSE: A touch panel device and a touch detection method for touch panel are provided to remove a sense of incongruity of touch sensibility when using a press-cap type touch panel by an operator and to provide a stress-free use feeling. CONSTITUTION: A peak determiner produces the peak value of the capacitance value. A force value controller(20) produces the force value, which have the hysteresis property based on the peak value, as the recent force value. A touch sensing processor(10) executes the process of force value using the recent force value as a predetermined force value and detects a touch position. |
