On a display unit which is mounted on a saddle type vehicle and has a restricted screen size, the setting state of a controller capable of changing characteristics of the vehicle is changed more easily and more rapidly. Characteristic icons 152 to 158 indicating vehicle characteristics are lined up in a left/right direction. Characteristic state icon columns 162 to 168 each including characteristic state icons indicating characteristic states of each vehicle characteristic are provided along a forward/rearward direction. Characteristic state icons corresponding to characteristic states associated with a currently-selected related characteristic among related characteristics A to D (i.e., the related characteristic indicated by the frame display 171) are displayed in display aspects different from display aspects of the other characteristic state icons, by frame displays 172 to 178.
