The invention relates to a device for the comminution of free-flowing feed material, with a housing (2) enclosing a comminution chamber (5) which contains a rotor (11) which rotates around an axis (4), and which features comminution tools (18) over its circumference. With a feeding device (30), the feed material is transported to the comminution chamber (5) in form of a gas-solid matter mixture, whereat the feeding device (30) features a pneumatic sieve passage (35) which uses the effect of gravity for removal of foreign particles from the feed material. In order to operate both the sieve passage (35) and the device (1) under optimal process parameters, the device (1) features at least one inlet port (25, 39) for the supply of secondary air, whereat the at least one inlet port (25, 39) flows into the gas-solid matter mixture downstream of the sieve passage (35). |
