PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress damage on an electrolyte membrane incident to oxygen deficiency on the outer edge side of MEA.SOLUTION: A single cell 40 has a MEGA holding a MEA by a gas diffusion layer, a seal portion 50 and an in-side sealing plate 60. The seal portion 50 covers from the peripheral edge of a cathode side gas diffusion layer 45 including the peripheral region of a cathode 43 extending to the peripheral side of MEGA. The in-side sealing plate 60 is disposed in a gas introduction flow path 48in between a flow path formation part 48 and an in-side air manifold 401, and covers including the seal portion 50 and the cathode side gas diffusion layer 45. A through hole 61 in the in-side sealing plate 60 supplies air to the cathode side gas diffusion layer 45 of a covering region Cin from the gas introduction flow path 48in. |
