The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for processing communication identification, relates to the field of computer and communication, and is used to improve the manner of processing the communication identification. The method includes: obtaining call records about a plurality of communication identifications of a called or calling user; determining use frequencies corresponding to respective communication identifications in the plurality of communication identifications according to the obtained communication records; determining communication identification with the highest use frequency as often-used communication identification according to the use frequencies corresponding to the respective communication identifications; and generating a markup instruction according to the frequently used contact identification, and sending the markup instruction to a terminal storing the communication identifications of the user, so that the often-used communication identification of the user is marked by the terminal. The present embodiment may determine the often-used communication identification more accurately, and inform other users of it, which is convenient for other user to contact the user. |
