The element (10) has an accommodation housing (12) receiving a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) element (14), and a ring shaped magnet (26) i.e. permanent magnet, with a coupling side coupled with the accommodation housing and/or the PTC element. Another coupling side of the magnet is coupled with an outer surface of a housing containing the medium to be heated. The accommodation housing is formed such that the heat energy of the PTC element is transferred by the magnet to the outer surface of the housing containing the medium to be heated.
