<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable delay device, a device adjustment method, and a positron emission tomography system which are capable of controlling time control with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A variable delay device 240 is connected to a photosensor 140 of a time-of-flight gamma ray detection system and includes a substrate 205 on which a plurality of conductive pins 210, 215 are mounted. A first terminal connected to a first one of the plurality of conductive pins and a second terminal connected to a second one of the plurality of conductive pins are also mounted on the substrate 205. A jumper 220 electrically connects the plurality of conductive pins at a predetermined distance relative to the substrate 205, and a time delay of the variable delay device 240 is determined based on the electrical path between the first and second terminals formed by the plurality of conductive pins 210, 215 and the jumper 220. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
