<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device capable of providing information by discriminating the quality of an installation environment on a more realistic condition. <P>SOLUTION: The disk device has a plurality of hard disk drives 14, maintains at least a portion of the plurality of hard disk drives 14 among the hard disk drives as a monitoring object in a stopped or operating state only for a time predetermined by a control part 21, respectively acquires temperature information obtained from the hard disk drives 14 of the monitoring object at a plurality of timing after a predetermined time difference after the elapse of the time when the stopped or operating state is maintained, calculates a change in temperature of the respective hard disk drives 14 of the monitoring object, and discriminates the existence/nonexistence of abnormality in the installation environment on the basis of the change in temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
