The invention relates to devices and a method for resource and admission control in multi-domain environments, particularly in Next Generation Networks. A device (120) in the control plane of a first domain (100) is configured, in the event of receiving a request from the service plane (110) for establishing, modifying or releasing a connection, for sending one of the following requests to the other device (220) in a second domain (200) and thus providing guaranteed quality of service in multi-domain environments:
- a first type of request (720) so that the other device (220) reserves and configures the necessary resources;
- a second type of request (800) so that the other device (220) releases pre-assigned resources; and
- a third type of request so that the other device (220) modifies (760) the pre-assigned resources. |
