<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum-type washer capable of accurately detecting the abnormality of an electrode sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A drum-type washer comprises: a rotary drum 37; a water tank 36 housing the rotary drum 37; a motor 38 for rotationally driving the rotary drum 37; a circulation water channel 47 for circulating washing water in the water tank 36 through a circulation channel 49, which is connected to the bottom part of the water tank 36 by means of a circulation pump 48; an electrode sensor 58 disposed at a side wall of piping, which is located in the vicinity of the lowest point of the circulation channel 49, for detecting the electroconductivity; controlling means 65 for controlling a series of processes such as washing, rinsing and dehydrating by controlling the motor 38. The controlling means 65 is configured to detect a first electroconductivity for a period in which the circulation channel 49 is filling with washing water, and detect a second electroconductivity for a period in which the circulation channel 49 is out of washing water, and detect the abnormality of the electrode sensor 58 on the basis of values of the first and second electroconductivity, thereby allowing users to detect the failure or the breaking of the electrode sensor 58 even if it becomes absolutely impossible to detect the electroconductivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
