<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe driver including a leader in such a structure as to secure the rigidity of the front face of the leader on which guide pipes are mounted. <P>SOLUTION: The pile driver includes the leader formed by connecting a plurality of leader members each having a pair of guide pipes 19 joined to the front face of a square cylindrical leader main material via mounting members 19a for guiding a work device to be moved up and down, the leader being supported at its upper part by the front end of a boom erected from a base machine. The leader main material 31 for the leader member 23 supported by the tip end of the boom is formed so that the width of the leader main material is greater than a joint space between the mounting members 19a. It has a front face plate 33a and a pair of side face plates 33b extending from both sides of the front face plate via a bent part 35 toward the side of the rear part of the leader.
