PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency of excavation work and reliability of control by eliminating the disconnection and reconnection of a communication cable when a coupling rod is added.SOLUTION: An inclinometer 33 is installed near an excavation head 1. A measured value is converted to an optical signal, and the optical signal is transmitted backward from a transmission unit 3. A reception unit 4 inserted from a back end of a coupling rod 3 is brought closer to the transmission unit 3 so that the signal can be received by optical communication. The signal is taken out in the rear via a communication cable 44. |
