PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall prevention device that can effectively prevent an article from falling.SOLUTION: A fall prevention device 100 prevents an article 10 from falling, and comprises: an article side base part 1 placed in contact with the article 10; a ceiling side base part 2 placed in contact with a ceiling 11; a damper 3 in which both end parts are rotatably connected to the article side base part 1 and the ceiling side base part 2 respectively and in which a damping force is generated by expansion and contraction movements associated with shaking of the article 10; and biasing means that biases the damper 3 in an extending direction. |
