The invention relates to a linear motor, a component mounting apparatus, and a component inspecting apparatus. The linear motor has units (40) comprising a mover (44) with an excitation member and a stator (42) with an armature, and the units can be parellelly arranged. The linear motor comprises a frame (30) composed of non-magnetic material and accommodating the units, a shielding component (500) arranged in the frame and an opening part (501) formed on the shielding component. The shielding component is composed of magnetic materials and located between the adjacent units if a plurality of units are arranged, and can shield the adjacent units at positions where the excitation member is far way from a coil (422) of the armature. The opening part opens the coil of the armature accommodated in the frame. Therefore, the coil directly faces the excitation member at the opening part, and thus a magnetic field formed between the excitation member and the armature maintains a high and effective magnetic flux. |
