The present invention refers to a filter for purifying water, which comprises an elongated cylindrical body (1) that includes an outlet (2) in the upper portion thereof for removing the treated water and a draining cap (3) located in the lower end portion thereof, two upper (7) and (8) lower sealing caps for preventing water from flowing, which are installed in a water intake (4); the invention is characterized in that the lower body (1) is formed by an outlet chamber (11) where the purified water is located; a draining chamber (12) located at the lower portion thereof where the water to be treated is received, including a chamber for retaining the filtrated material (10) of 0.0447 m3, formed by two strainers, one upper (5) and one lower (6) strainer and two retention meshes (9) located over the strainers, these elements as a whole may act as an element for retaining the filtrating material (10), which is formed by a combination of clinoptilolite and activated carbon of a granulometry ranging from 0.5 to 16 mm. |
