Disclosed is a device to prevent people from falling from an elevator. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the device includes: a fall preventing plate placed under the ground of an elevator hall when a door of the elevator is closed, and moved to a silo of the elevator when the door is opened in order to prevent passengers from falling; and a spring moving the fall preventing plate to the silo by elastic force. One of corners of the fall preventing plate comes in contact with a guide plate, attached to the bottom of the door of the elevator to be extended downward, at an acute angle. As the door is opened and closed, the movement of the fall preventing plate is guided by the guide plate and the spring applying elastic force in a vertical direction to a movement direction of the door. |
