Disclosed are a triplexer filter using two-stage directional couplers for a fiber to the home (FTTH) application and a filtering method using the same. The triplexer filter may include a first directional coupler which divides a first downstream signal and a second downstream signal which are inputted to an input waveguide, into two waveguides, respectively; a second directional coupler which separates the separated first downstream signal from the upstream signal and outputs the separated first downstream signal; a third directional coupler which separates the separated second downstream signal from the upstream signal and outputs the separated second downstream signal; and a Y-type optical splitter which receives the upstream signal by connecting the output waveguides of the other sides of waveguides which output the first downstream signal and the second downstream signal in the second direction coupler and the third direction coupler. |
