A quick individual rescue device is provided for descending in case of fire, rescue operations and in other situations of descending from height. The advantage of the device is characterized in that it is used only when descending is nessesary and the use thereof does not depend on any factors. The rescue device is simple in design for commercial production, a mechanism regulating descending speed is mounted inside a brake drum. Descending height is not limited and depends only on an amount of rolled cable on the drum and is regulated by the drum width. The speed regulating mechanism has two variants: the first variant is with a brake mechanical drive, the descending spreed is controlled by a spring 17, regulated by a screw 19 and a centrifugal detail regulator 10, 11, 12, 13; the second variant is with a hydraulic brake drive. The descending spreed is controlled by the spring 17, regulated by the screw 19 and the centrifugal detail regulator 10, 11, 12, 13, further a by-pass port of a hydraulic valve is closed at different values, thus regulating the pressure in a delivery line and therefor creating different braking forces. The drum with rolled cable has a cheek equal to the brake drum diameter. The inner diameter is minimum, the drum width provides the required cable length that, thanks to a greater diameter of turns at the descending start and minimum at the end provides maximum descending speed at the start and much lesser at the end. The device for holding an evacuee is shaped as a common sack with belts for providing reliable holding in the sack and to the individual device. |
