The present invention relates to a concrete gravity dam excavating apparatus and a dam body excavating method using the same. The concrete gravity dam excavating apparatus has a small number of facilities including an excavating part for excavating a concrete gravity dam; and a reaction tube in close contact with or released from the inner circumferential surface of an excavated opening formed inside the concrete gravity dam. The concrete gravity dam excavating apparatus ensures easy excavation and forms the excavated opening inside the concrete gravity dam while consuming a small amount of hydraulic pressure, air pressure or the like with the facilities thereof. Furthermore, a large number of additional propulsion tubes are unnecessary in a procedure to excavate the concrete gravity dam by the excavating part. Moreover, after completely forming the excavated opening connected to the dam body, an additional separating device for separating the propulsion tubes from the excavated opening is unnecessary. Therefore, the excavating part and reaction tube can be easily drawn from the excavated opening.
