The method involves obtaining a series of captured images (11). Another series of stabilized images is obtained by applying an image stabilization to the former series of images (12) based on gyrometric information. A residual stabilization error is determined (13) by applying a digital processing to the latter series of stabilized images. The gyrometric information corresponds to the measurement data is supplied by a gyrometric system. The gyrometric information is obtained by correcting the measurement data supplied by the gyrometric system on the basis of the residual error.
