The invention relates to a polymeric material with antibacterial properties and may be applied in medicine and veterinary medicine.The polymeric material, according to the invention, consists of a copolymer of N-vinylpyrrolidone with crotonic or methacrylic acid, grafted with the (E)-N'-((5-nitrofuran-2-yl)methylene)isonicotinohydrazide (isofural) compound.
