FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a plasticised water-soluble film and packing material made therefrom, such as sacks and packets. The water-soluble film contains at least 50 wt % of a water-soluble resin based on polyvinyl alcohol (PVC resin) which is a copolymer of vinyl alcohol and vinyl acetate with viscosity in the range of about 13.5 cP to about 20 cP and degree of hydrolysis in the range of about 84% to about 92%. The PVC resin contains a mixture of first and second polymers based on polyvinyl alcohol, which are copolymers of vinyl alcohol and vinyl acetate. The first PVC polymer has viscosity in the range of about 8 cP to about 40 cP, the second PVC polymer has viscosity in the range of about 10 cP to about 40 cP, wherein viscosity of the first PVC polymer is lower than that of the second PVC polymer.EFFECT: disclosed film contains not more than 30 wt % PVC polymer with viscosity lower than 11 cP and has high solubility in cold water, improved processing characteristics under wet conditions and during hot shaping.13 cl, 8 dwg, 15 tbl |
