FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymerisable prepolymers, subjected to water processing, and versions of thereof application. Claimed is polymerisable prepolymer, subjected to water processing, which contains: (1) siloxane-containing monomer units, obtained from one or several siloxane-containing vinyl monomers, each of which has at least one hydrophilic polymer chain, which has number average molecular weight to 10000 Da; (2) hydrophilic monomer units obtained from one or several hydrophilic vinyl monomers; (3) 0.05-5 wt % of polymerisable units, each of which has side or terminal ethylene-unsaturated group and is free from any polysiloxane segment. Prepolymer has 20-50 wt % of silicone relative to the total weight of prepolymer and is characterised by high solubility or dispersibility in water and can be applied in manufacturing silicone hydrogel contact lenses.
