FIELD: shipbuilding.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of protection of metal elements of ship propellers. Method includes application of metal elements on surface by gas thermal spraying of protective layer from aluminium or zinc and alloys on their basis, brushing its outer surface and applying onto protective layer polymerising impregnating compound followed by drying. Protective layer brushing is carried out with wire disc brush with disc inclined at 20° to processed surface, touching surfaces with wire brush ends, with identical pressure and rate of its movement during processing. Brush is rotated clockwise in parallel lines with an overlap. Polymerising composition is applied not later than 1-3 hours after brushing.EFFECT: increased service life of elements of ship propellers.3 cl
