The present invention relates to a method for preparing complex metal oxides for a cathode active material, and more specifically, to a method for preparing complex metal oxides for a cathode active material, in which a metal aqueous solution is added with urea and a combustion synthesis reaction and a calcination reaction are performed on the urea-added metal aqueous solution to be prepared as complex metal oxides; and to an electrode, a lithium secondary battery, a capacitor using the same. Accordingly, an embodiment of the method of preparing the complex metal oxides for the cathode active material of the present invention comprises: a metal aqueous solution preparing step of preparing a metal aqueous solution including nickel, cobalt, manganese, and lithium; an additive aqueous solution preparing step of adding urea to the metal aqueous solution to obtain an additive aqueous solution; a drying step of drying the additive aqueous solution to obtain a gel-type aqueous solution; a combustion synthesis reaction step of performing the combustion synthesis reaction on the gel-type additive aqueous solution; a calcination reaction step of performing the calcination reaction on the additive aqueous solution, which has been generated by the combustion synthesis reaction, to obtain complex metal oxides; and a surface modifying step of modifying the surfaces of the complex metal oxides using one or more materials among carbon, AlF3, ZrO2,Al2O3,TiO2, and B2O3. |
