The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for authenticating payment using an IP address and location information of a terminal. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for authenticating payment may comprise the following steps of: receiving payment request information including customer identification information and an IP address from an external server; acquiring location information corresponding to the IP address; acquiring location information of a terminal corresponding to the customer identification information; comparing the location information corresponding to the IP address and the location information of the terminal; and requesting a payment approval corresponding to the payment request information to the external server, when the location information corresponding to the IP address and the location information of the terminal are matched, as a result of the comparison. The purpose of the present invention is to avoid side effects caused by a hacked and leaked certificate and to ease the inconvenience for customers to be in possession of a certificate. |
