The present invention relates to a hot water heater and, more specifically, to a hot water heater wherein a metallic pipe is combined with a control box to be attachable thereto and detachable therefrom and is configured so that the metallic pipe can be easily separated by unfastening a fixing nut while exposing the fixing nut for fixing the metallic pipe after easily separating an attachable and detachable upper cap combined with the upper side of the control box. When the metallic pipe is damaged, the metallic pipe can be easily replaced with a new metallic pipe. Moreover, a fuse mounted inside the control box can be also easily replaced through an attachable and detachable lower cap combined with the lower part of the control box. The hot water heater according to the present invention comprises: a pair of metallic pipes arranged in parallel with a gap therebetween and including heat-emitting parts having end parts thereof rolled in the shape of a pigtail and formed as a connected one at a lower end; and a control box composed of a lower case having a pair of insertion pipes formed vertically to insert the pair of metallic pipes from lower sides respectively, and an upper case combined with the upper part of the lower case to be watertight. The upper ends of the pair of metallic pipes protrude above the insertion pipes with the pair of metallic pipes inserted into the insertion pipes respectively. A fixing nut is screwed to the protruding upper ends of the metallic pipes and is fixed as inserted into the insertion pipes. The upper case includes opening holes capable of exposing the fixing nut at positions corresponding to the pair of insertion pipes respectively and the attachable and detachable upper cap is inserted and mounted in the opening holes. |
