PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus that allows lock release comparatively easily at appropriate timing while stably holding a battery so that the battery accidentally drops.SOLUTION: An X-ray imaging apparatus 201 comprises: an X-ray sensor 12 that converts an X-ray to an image signal; a battery 100 that supplies power for driving the X-ray sensor 12; a battery holder 15 that freely detachably holds the battery 100; a lock mechanism that locks the battery 100 in the state in which the battery 100 is mounted on the battery holder 15; and a lock release mechanism that releases the lock by the lock mechanism.
