A system for facilitating the identification and authorisation of travellers includes a biometric data storage and verification apparatus configured for receiving and storing traveller biometric data and for verifying the traveller data against previously stored traveller data. A biometric data collection apparatus is in operative communication with the storage and verification apparatus and is configured to write biometric data collected from a traveller to the data storage and verification apparatus for verification. An access control apparatus is in operative communication with the data storage and verification apparatus and is configured for recording biometric data from the traveller for the execution of a verification process on the traveller based on data stored by the data storage and verification apparatus. |
