An inspection device for inspecting the quality of the arrangement state of liquid-filled capsules arranged within a filter is provided with: a light projection unit having a light projection element disposed so as to project inspection light having a prescribed wavelength absorbed by the liquid inside the liquid-filled capsules onto the subject filter that is the subject of investigation; and a light reception unit having a plurality of light reception elements disposed so as to be capable of receiving the light that is transmitted when the inspection light from the projection element of the projection unit passes through the subject filter. The device is also provided with a determination unit for obtaining, on the basis of the light reception results for the transmitted light obtained by the light reception unit, a determination parameter pertaining to the ratio between the largest value and smallest value of the light reception intensity of the light transmitted by a plurality of regions of the subject filter, or the difference between the largest value and smallest value, and determining the quality of the arrangement state of the liquid-filled capsules arranged within the subject filter on the basis of the obtained determination parameter. As a result, incorrect inspection by an inspection device for a filter having liquid-filled capsules arranged therein can be avoided as much as possible. |
