HIGH TOTAL REFLECTANCE, LOW GLOSS COATINGS AND THEIR METHODS OF MAKING

Articles coated with a reflective coating are described. The articles include a substrate and a coating disposed on at least a portion of a surface thereof, wherein the coated portion has a total reflectance of visible light at least 90% at 0°; a variance of total reflectance of about 5% or less from 0° to 80°; gloss of 6.0 gloss units or less at 60°; and variance of gloss of ± 1.5 gloss units or less from 60° to 85°. The coatings include one or more flat, glossy primer coat layers and one or more topcoat layers including a matting agent and a texturing agent.
