PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing resin having high diffusibility to liquid to be absorbed, while maintaining high water absorption power, and capable of reducing a reverse return amount, when being used for an absorber; and to provide a water-absorbing article formed by using an absorber including the water-absorbing resin.SOLUTION: A water-absorbing resin is obtained by polymerizing a water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer in the presence of an internal crosslinking agent, and by performing post-crosslinking thereof with a post-crosslinking agent. In the water-absorbing resin, when performing a liquid flow test by using the water-absorbing resin, an absorber effective index K shown by formula (I) is 250 or higher: absorber effective index K=liquid flow amount(g)×artificial urine absorption magnification(g/g)...(I).SELECTED DRAWING: None |
