The present invention provides a method and device for determining stable factors of an adaptive filter. The method comprises: determining a reference input matrix of a first input signal according to the first input signal input to the adaptive filter; determining a stability parameter of the first input signal according to the reference input matrix; and determining the stable factors of the adaptive filter according to the stability parameter. By means of the method and device for determining stable factors of an adaptive filter according to embodiments of the present invention, the stability parameter of the first input signal is determined according to the reference input matrix of the first input signal of the adaptive filter, so that the stable factors of the adaptive filter are determined, the stable factors of the adaptive filter can be adaptively obtained according to stability features of the first input signal, and balance of convergence rate and steady-state error performance of the adaptive filter can be achieved.
