Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the technical field of wireless communications, and particularly to a method, device and system for transmitting a CSI-RS, which are used to solve the problem that few resources can be used to configure a CSI-RS in the prior art. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, a network side device selects a resource element (RE) corresponding to a type of CSI-RS pilot resource configuration in a CSI-RS pilot resource mapping pattern in a special subframe to serve as an RE carrying a CSI-RS, and sends the CSI-RS through the determined RE.
