PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hydrophilic membranes formed from aromatic hydrophobic polymers, and a method of imparting hydrophilicity to membranes formed from aromatic hydrophobic polymers.SOLUTION: Disclosed are diblock copolymers of the formula A-B-A or A-B, comprising blocks A and B, where the block A is a hydrophilic polymeric segment comprising polyglycerol and the block B is an aromatic hydrophobic polymeric segment. The block A content is 20-60 mol% and the block B content is 30-80 mol%, and preferably the block A content is 40-55 mol% and the block B content is 40-60 mol%.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
