PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the control and protection of a gas turbine, which increases the availability and/or accuracy of a gas turbine performance and lifetime indicative process quantity.SOLUTION: A gas turbine performance and lifetime indicative process quantity are simultaneously evaluated by two different estimation methods 11, 12. A first estimation method 11 has a high prediction accuracy, and a second estimation method 12 has a high availability. A continuous adaptation 14 of the second estimation method 12 is conducted in order to align output signals T, Tof the two estimation methods, and in the case of a failure F detected during supervision 13 of the first estimation method 11 the adaptation 14 of the second estimation method 12 is stopped, and the output of the first estimation method 11 is switched to the output of the second estimation method 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
