The present invention relates to a filler for a ladle opening filled in an outlet disposed on a ladle wherein molten steel is accommodated. The filler for the ladle opening comprises chromite sand and a magnesia clinker. As such, in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the filler comprises the chromite sand and the magnesia clinker. The sintering temperature of the filler is higher than the sintering temperature of a conventional chromite-silica based or a silica based filler, and manganese (Mn) contained in the molten steel is employed by the filler. As such, an opening defect problem caused by erosion or a deepening infiltration depth of the molten steel by reaction between manganese (Mn) in the molten steel and SiO_2 as in a conventional filler can be prevented. |
