PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for sustained delivery of therapeutic agents from a punctum of a patient to ocular tissues using an implant for treatment of an ocular disease.SOLUTION: Methods using implant devices to be inserted into a punctum of a patient for treatment of glaucoma, ocular hypertension and elevated intraocular pressure with latanoprost represented by the formula in the figure or other therapeutic agent(s) provide sustained latanoprost or other therapeutic agent(s) that is maintained for 7, 14, 21, 30, 45, 60, or 90 days or more, thus avoiding patient noncompliance and reducing or lowering adverse events associated with eye drop administration of the therapeutic agent(s).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
