PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for fracture repair.SOLUTION: A device 100 may comprise a structural support for positioning a first bone segment with respect to a second bone segment. The device may include a fixed base material 112. The fixed base material may be configured to compress the first bone segment to a second bone segment. The fixed base material can transmit tensile force from a distal bone segment anchor in the first bone segment to the proximal bone segment anchor in the second bone segments. The device may be configured to be percutaneously deployed into the lumen of the bone. Device may be placed in open fracture. The device is self-expanding to be extended, or may be configured for mechanical actuation.
