an elastic net having a cable coupled thereto; and an energy absorption member coupled between the cable and an anchoring assembly; wherein the cable is configured to transfer a kinetic energy of a moving vehicle impacting the net to the energy absorption member; wherein the energy absorption member is configured to absorb at least a portion of the kinetic energy.
